PRCA Public Affair Awards – short list
Matter undertook and integrated the finding from 5 separate pieces of research (halls test, mystery shops, omnibus, telephone and depth interviews) to provide evidence for the need to regulate the funeral plan market. This insight was used as the backbone of a report, : “Is the prepaid funeral planning market working well for consumers?”, published by Dignity which was then used to lobby key stakeholders as part of a campaign to regulate the sector. The campaign was shortlisted for the Corporate Campaign of the Year Award at the 2019 PRCA Public Affairs Awards and lead to the government announcing regulation of the market place in their 2020 Budget.
